This significant occasion honors the revered leader's pivotal role in India's quest for independence.


Parakram Diwas seeks to nurture bravery and patriotism, particularly among the younger generation, encouraging them to remain steadfast in challenging circumstances. Netaji's unparalleled courage served as an inspiration, urging Indians to boldly resist colonial rule.

In 1921, at the age of 24, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose tendered his resignation from the Indian Civil Service, actively engaging in the struggle for Independence. His resignation letter stands as a poignant testament to his unwavering dedication to the larger cause.

Educational institutions across the country host cultural gatherings in commemoration of Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti. A ceremonial raising of the Indian national flag takes place, while landmarks such as the Netaji Museum, Netaji Bhawan, and INA Museum are embellished with floral decorations. Students participate by delivering speeches that reflect on the inspirational legacy of Netaji and other freedom fighters.

Beyond organized gatherings, individuals visit locations associated with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, serving as places of remembrance to honor and contemplate the sacrifices made by the leader and his contemporaries. The collective exchange of quotes, well-wishes, and inspirational expressions mirrors the unwavering spirit of Subhash Chandra Bose, who, alongside other freedom fighters, played a crucial role in realizing the vision of an Independent India.


President Droupadi Murmu paid homage to Netaji on this occasion, acknowledging his exceptional dedication to India's freedom. In a statement on X, she expressed, "I extend my respects to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, observed as Parakram Diwas! Netaji demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the cause of India's freedom.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his wishes on Parakram Diwas, sending greetings to the citizens of India. PM Modi expressed, "Warm wishes to the people of India on Parakram Diwas. On his birth anniversary today, we pay tribute to the life and bravery of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. His steadfast commitment to the freedom of our nation remains a timeless source of inspiration."
